Thermal Analysis
Principle
Thermal analysis is a method of measuring the physical properties of a sample as a function of temperature or time while varying the temperature according to a predetermined program. Thermogravimetry (TG) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) are widely used for all kinds of materials to quantitatively investigate the change in weight and heat transfer (endothermic and exothermic), respectively. Thermogravimetry-Differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA) is also used for simultaneous and easy measurement of weight change and qualitative heat input/output.
