Principle
A chromatographic technique that uses a liquid as the mobile phase to separate a multicomponent mixture into its single components. Depending on the separation mechanism, there are several modes, such as normal-phase, reversed-phase, and GPC. In addition to UV detectors and refractive index (RI) detectors, evaporative light-scattering detector (ELSD) is also used.
By connecting a mass spectrometer to the detector (LC/MS), the mass information of each separated component can be obtained. Furthermore, by coupling MS/MS technique, it is possible to obtain detailed structural information and perform highly sensitive and selective quantitative analysis.

Orbitrap Fusion Lumos

Orbitrap Fusion Lumos is a high-performance mass spectrometer which has the world's highest resolution (500,000) and advanced analytical functions such as multi-stage MS and electron transfer dissociation (ETD).
Using the mass spectrometer, it becomes possible to analyze binding sites of O-glycan on bio-pharmaceuticals and of the drug on antibody-drug conjugate.
